Maryland Latino Perinatal Health Coalition

The Maryland Latino Perinatal Health Coalition is a collaborative network dedicated to improving maternal and infant health outcomes for Latino and immigrant families across Maryland.

This group brings together community health workers, doulas, healthcare providers, community-based organizations, advocates, and leaders who are committed to advancing culturally responsive, equitable, and accessible perinatal care.

Our goal is to create a space for connection, collaboration, and action—where members can share resources, stay informed on upcoming initiatives, and work collectively to address disparities impacting Latino communities during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.

In this group, you can:

• Stay updated on coalition meetings, events, and initiatives

• Share and access culturally relevant perinatal resources and programs

• Collaborate on outreach, education, and community-based efforts

• Learn about trainings, funding opportunities, and partnerships

• Engage in discussions around maternal health disparities and solutions

Who should join:

• Community Health Workers (CHWs) and Promotores de Salud

• Doulas and birth workers

• Healthcare providers (OB/GYNs, midwives, nurses, mental health professionals)

• Nonprofit and community-based organizations

• Public health professionals and advocates

• Anyone committed to improving perinatal health for Latino families in Maryland

Group Guidelines:

1. Keep posts relevant to perinatal health, community resources, and coalition work

2. No sales or promotional content unrelated to community services

3. Share accurate, evidence-based, and culturally respectful information

4. Maintain professionalism, respect, and confidentiality

5. Use this space to collaborate, uplift, and support one another
