Certifying in both birth and postpartum doula guarantees you the opportunity to partner with Maryland Medicaid insurance companies and other institutions.
Mentorship (Business Starter Kit + Mentorship Group) : $200
Job Opportunities as a Doula
After certification, doulas can work in a variety of settings:

Salary & Earnings Potential
Doula income varies based on experience, location, and type of work, but there is strong earning potential:

Per Birth (average):
$1,400 – $1,800 per family (for certified birth + postpartum doulas) -
Postpartum Support (hourly):
$25 – $50+ per hour depending on experience and services offered -
Monthly Income Potential:
Supporting 2–4 families per month = approximately $2,800 – $6,400+ -
Annual Income Range:
Part-time doulas: $20,000 – $50,000
Full-time doulas: $50,000 – $90,000+
(Higher earnings possible with additional services or agency contracts)
