Pregnancy Centers

Pregnancy centers vary in the services they provide, some are faith based and some are not. Some pregnancy centers are also known as women's centers. Services will vary but in general many provide low cost or free services like first ultrasound, pregnancy test, birth control, pregnancy education, abortion counseling, case management and more. Maternal Mental Health

Maternal mental health(MMH) conditions are the most common complications of pregnancy and childbirth, affecting 1 in 5 women (800,000 women each year in the United States). Maternal mental health conditions include depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive- compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar illness (which may include psychotic symptoms), and substance use disorders. Taking care of you, helps you take care of them.

Resources for Dads

Becoming a parent is a huge milestone for anyone, but when a new baby joins the family, it’s common for support systems to prioritize the mother and child. Many don’t know that men can experience pre- and postpartum depression and anxiety – around one in 10 fathers experience Paternal Postpartum Depression (PPPD) and up to 16% deal with an anxiety disorder during the weeks before and after birth. Check out some mental health resources for dad below.
