About the event

This training is a 4 day training via zoom from 9 am to 11 am on July 10th, July 24th, July 31st. There will be online modules to supplement the live instructional trainings. Those who participate the training will recieve a certificate of completion. 

This training program is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively promote community-based organization (CBO) services and initiatives within Latino communities. Through a combination of interactive sessions, case studies, and practical exercises, participants will learn how to tailor their promotional efforts to resonate with the cultural values, preferences, and needs of Latino audiences.

The training will cover topics such as cultural competence, language access, community engagement techniques, and developing culturally relevant messaging. Participants will also gain insights into the health and social service needs of Latino communities and learn how to promote CBO resources effectively.

Throughout the training, emphasis will be placed on building trust, fostering meaningful relationships, and collaborating with community stakeholders to maximize the impact of promotional efforts. Legal and ethical considerations in promotional activities will also be addressed to ensure compliance and integrity.

By the end of the training, participants will have the skills and confidence to develop and implement comprehensive promotion strategies that engage and empower Latino communities, ultimately enhancing the reach and effectiveness of their CBO's initiatives.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to effectively promote community-based organization (CBO) services and initiatives within Latino communities by:

  1. Demonstrating cultural competence and sensitivity in promotional activities.
  2. Utilizing appropriate language access strategies to reach diverse audiences.
  3. Implementing community engagement techniques to build trust and rapport.
  4. Developing culturally relevant messaging that resonates with Latino audiences.
  5. Identifying health and social service needs within Latino communities and promoting relevant CBO resources.
  6. Building strong relationships and partnerships with community stakeholders.
  7. Evaluating the effectiveness of promotional efforts and adapting strategies as needed.
  8. Ensuring legal and ethical compliance in promotional activities.
  9. Collaborating with team members to create comprehensive and impactful promotional campaigns.
  10. Applying practical skills and knowledge gained from training to real-world promotion scenarios within Latino communities.
